Study in Spain: at the European University of the Canary Islands

FEEDUC

We had a meeting at the UEC on October 31 to discuss with the teams and students of this university.
Let's discover together this university "apart" in our offer. A protective cocoon, a family atmosphere, the secure and natural life that only the islands can offer.

The UEC (Universidad Europea de Canarias) is located in the small town of La Orotava, on the slopes of the Teide volcano, on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

A university like any other

This university is an official private university, authorized by the Spanish State

This university, which is part of the UE (Universidad Europea) group, along with the UEM (in Madrid) and the UEV (in Valencia), will allow you to obtain the same degrees.

In architecture and physical therapy, for example, you will obtain the Spanish state diploma which, after the necessary administrative procedures, allows you to practice in France.

Find out more about the admission and registration process on the UEC page https://www.feeduc.eu/universite/universite-europea-de-canarias-uec/ on our website.

But a university not quite like the others

Several aspects make this university different from other universities in Spain and these aspects are the ones that are taken into account by the international students who have chosen it to follow their university course in Spain.

  • The size of the university: it is a "family" university. All the students know each other, all the students know the faculty and administrative staff, and the reverse is also true. The few photos on this page taken during our visit in October 2017 testify to this. The small space forces the meeting between all members of the educational community.
  • Study in small groups: the rooms can accommodate a maximum of 20 people. This ensures individualized follow-up by the teachers and constant exchanges and attention with them.
  • Campus location: La Orotava, where the UEC campus is located, is a small town built on the slopes of the Teide volcano. The university occupies a building in the center of town and the ground floor of the building across the street. It is located a few steps from the church and the town hall. You won't find a safer and more peaceful place to study than this!
  • Its location in Spain: If you like nature activities (sea and mountain) this university is made for you. Its atypical location since it is situated on the island of Tenerife in the Canary archipelago will allow you to practice all the activities related to these two worlds on a daily basis. Canarians are very welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Studying for 4 or 5 years on the island is a real plus for those who appreciate a safe and pleasant lifestyle (the island of eternal spring...).
  • The cost of living: affordable housing (roommates from 250 euros per month) and healthy food are the norm for students in the Canary Islands. If the distance scares you, rest assured that you will receive many visits from family and friends in France and that by living in the Canary Islands during your studies you will be entitled to preferential airfare.
  • A free Spanish course: You will have the chance to benefit from a free Spanish course upon your arrival, this is the only university that offers this service for free. These 2 to 3 weeks of classes will be very useful for you to integrate more easily into your studies and your life in Spain.

We are in the process of updating the UEC page on this site and you will soon find contacts and tips for living and studying at UEC. We are delighted, once again, to provide you with more than just a file to fill out.

It's our presence in the field that makes FEEDUC: we know what we're talking about, and we only talk about what we know.
