We are approaching the Easter vacations in Spain

If you are planning to travel to Spain in the next few days to visit universities you may find that you are not welcome.

This Easter period is almost as quiet in Spain as August.

There are 3 times of the year when, over several days, the professional activity slows down and sometimes stops completely in the universities in Spain.

  • This is the case in August.
  • This is the case at the end of the year from Christmas until the "Reyes" in January.
  • This is finally the case around Easter. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are public holidays throughout Spain.

Easter Monday is a holiday in many regions.

The next few days are not the best time to visit or inquire about universities in Spain.

In Madrid and Castilla y Leon, for example, everything stops in Semana Santa (week before Easter Monday), i.e. next week, so no visits, no emails and no exchanges with the UAX, the UEM, the UEMC, the UFV or the CEU.

In Valencia and Murcia it is the same thing but from Maundy Thursday and all the week after Easter Monday, that is to say from next Thursday and all the following week, therefore no visit, no mail and no exchange neither with the UEV nor with the UCAM

Some universities will operate on minimum service during this Easter period, will be closed on holidays and for the entire period for most.

As far as FEEDUC is concerned, the service runs from January1 to December 31, but to answer your question we also depend on our partner universities, so we may be limited in what we can do for students planning to study in Spain.

See you soon!
