Center of Care of Follow-up and Rehabilitation in the Atlantic Pyrenees seeks cardiologist

The Toki Eder medical center, a follow-up and rehabilitation care establishment (SSR), is looking for a full time cardiologist for its cardiology unit.

The cardiological unit is composed of 40 beds of SSR managed by two cardiologists, Doctor SERRES and Doctor BACQUE. This team is completed by a part-time general practitioner, Doctor QUILLE.

The establishment is equipped to carry out :

• Cardiac ultrasound
• Cardiac stress test
• Cardio respiratory effort test (EFX, VO2 max measurement)
• A cardiac holter
• Telemetric patient monitoring
• An individualized rehabilitation room for patients referred to the cardiology unit, located on the same floor as the hospitalization beds.

Patients under care are referred to:

• or in part-time hospitalization (HTP)
• or in full time hospitalization (FTC)

Patients are referred:

• or in postoperative (coronary, valvular or vascular surgery...)
• or for exercise rehabilitation following a heart attack or coronary disease
• or for arterial rehabilitation

We wish to develop the rehabilitation of heart failure patients and increase the rehabilitation of arterial disease patients.

The establishment also has

• 7 individualized medical beds within the establishment taking care of mainly respiratory or cardiac patients (sector shared between pneumologists and cardiologists).
• 100 beds of pneumological SSR, autonomous with 5 doctors dedicated to its functioning (3 pneumologists and 2 general practitioners). Pneumological hospitalizations are also done in HTP and HTC

The establishment is located in the Basque Country (near Bayonne and Biarritz) offering a pleasant working environment, recently refurbished. It is located 20 minutes from Bayonne and works regularly with the general hospital of Bayonne (where there is a cardiological intensive care unit), and the Bordeaux University Hospital. It also works with private cardiologists in the region.

The available position is therefore a full-time position that could be two half-time positions for cardiologists for the care of patients referred to this cardiology unit.

An on-call system includes 2 to 3 shifts per month.

The salary takes into account the skills, the seniority, and is to be discussed. In addition to the salary, the payment of the guards.
